1. About CloudBot

CloudBot is a free desktop AI assistant application for Windows and macOS. It runs entirely on your local machine — no cloud account, no subscription, no server required.

CloudBot is an independent product. We are not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other AI model provider.

2. Data Collected by the CloudBot Application

CloudBot is designed with a local-first privacy model:

• All conversation history is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
• All files and documents you share with CloudBot remain on your machine.
• Your preferences, memory, and task history are saved locally only.
• API keys you provide (for Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, etc.) are stored locally and are never sent to us.

The only external network connection CloudBot makes is directly from your device to the AI model API provider you have configured (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI). We have no visibility into these requests.

3. Data Collected by This Website

When you visit cloud-bot.org, we collect standard web analytics data:

• IP address and approximate geographic location
• Browser type, version, and operating system
• Pages visited and time spent on site
• Referring URL

This data is used solely to understand website traffic and improve our content. We do not sell this data to third parties.

4. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses Microsoft Clarity for anonymous usage analytics. Clarity may use cookies to collect aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data about how visitors interact with the site.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. This will not affect your ability to download or use CloudBot.

5. Third-Party AI Model Providers

CloudBot connects to AI model APIs on your behalf using the API key you provide. When you use CloudBot, your prompts and task data are sent directly from your device to your chosen AI provider (e.g., Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for GPT-4). Each provider has its own privacy policy:

If you use a local model via Ollama, no data leaves your machine at all.

6. Children's Privacy

CloudBot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website or software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
